Request a BZA Hearing

The Miami Township BZA coordinator shall fix a reasonable time and place for the hearing of any application, petition, or appeal. They shall notify the Board of Zoning Appeals and give at least ten (10) days’ notice of the time and place of such hearing, to the applicant and to the owners of record of property within three hundred (300) feet of the premises in question, and by publication in one or more newspapers of general circulation in the township. Any party may appear at such hearing in person, by agent or by attorney. The board shall decide the application or appeal within a reasonable time period.

Requesting a BZA Hearing

There are generally four types of hearing that come before the BZA. The applicant should choose which of these applications is appropriate for their situation. Contact the zoning inspector or Richard Silliman BZA Chair for assistance if needed. Currently, there is no online portal to apply. Please download the application, print and complete the application and return by email to the Richard Silliman BZA Chair.
