MIAMI TOWNSHIP TRUSTEES
FEBRUARY 17, 2020
CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:00 pm. By Chairperson Mucher. Trustees Crockett and Hollister were present. Road Department employee Gochenouer and fiscal Officer Silliman were also present.
ADOPTION OF THE MINUTES
A MOTION By Mr. Hollister And SECONDED by Mr. Crockett was made to adopt the minutes of January 22nd as presented. MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
A MOTION by Mr. Hollister and SECONDED by Mr. Crockett was made to adopt the minutes of February 3rd as presented. MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
PAYMENT OF ACCOUNTS
A MOTION by Mr. Crockett and SECONDED by Mr. Hollister was made to pay accounts in the amount of $58,991.1: General Fund – $10,335.59; Fire Fund – $32,169.47; Cemetery Fund – $0; EMS Billing – $8,312.48; Road and Bridge – $8,173.64; Capital Fund- $0. MOTION CARRIED unanimously.

FIRE DEPARTMENT REPORT
No report.
NEW FIRE HOUSE REPORT
Mr. Mucher a change was made to use porcelain tiling instead of the previously planned polished concrete for the lobby hallway, two bathrooms and treatment room.
CEMETERY REPORT
Mr. Gochenouer reported there was a full burial in the new addition of Glen Forest Cemetery since the last meeting.
Mr. Hollister asked if there was any significant settling in the Natural Burial Area. Mr. Gochenouer reported that not much occurs with burials in that area.
Mr. Mucher asked if there is any news on an estimate for a new Cemetery mower. Mr. Gochenouer replied no news yet.
ROAD DEPARTMENT REPORT
Mr. Gochenouer reported that he will be helping Xenia Township replace a catch basin on Wednesday. He added that four pieces of guardrail on John Bryan Road were replaced.
FISCAL OFFICER’S REPORT
A MOTION by Mr. Crockett and SECONDED by Mr. Hollister was made to adopt RESOLUTION 2020-09: Amendment of Temporary Appropriations. MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS
MVRPC – Mr. Mucher attended the recent meeting.
YS Senior Center – Mr. Crockett reported that he attended a Thai Chi class at the Center.
YSCDC – A MOTION by Mr. Mucher and SECONDED by Mr. Crockett was made to appoint Mr. Hollister as a representative of Miami Township to the YSCDC. MOTION CARRIED unanimously. A MOTION by Mr. Hollister and SECONDED by Mr. Crockett was made to appoint Corrie Van Ausdal to represent Miami Township on the YSCDC Board. MOTION CARRIED unanimously.
Complete Census Committee – Mr. Hollister reported the Committee is still hiring and the Census count starts April 1st.
Solid Waste Policy Committee – Mr. Hollister reported that the Committee completed the 1st stage of a multi-year program plan for approval by the EPA. The County will receive money based on the amount of tons of trash collected.
